Baked Ham with Apple-Orange Dijon Glaze
October 14, 2025 • 0 comments
This recipe came together on a trip to visit friends who are basically family. We’d brought a ham with us and wanted to cook a meal for everyone, but every recipe I found had way too many ingredients. So we got creative with what we had on hand and so this simple apple-orange glaze was born. It turned out absolutely delicious and was such a hit! With the holidays coming up, I wanted to share it as a reminder that good food doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, it’s just about making something special out of what’s already in your kitchen.

Directions
Ingredients:
- 1 Smoked Boneless Ham (2-3lb.)
- ½ cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 4 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1-2 apples, finely grated or blended
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, combine orange juice, Dijon mustard, honey, apple, apple cider vinegar, and salt.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Place the smoked ham in a roasting pan.
- Brush a generous layer of glaze over the ham. Cover loosely with foil.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes per pound, or until warmed through (about 140°F internal temperature).
- Halfway through heating, spoon some of the glaze from the bottom of the pan over the ham.
- During the last 10–15 minutes, remove the foil and brush on any remaining glaze for a glossy, caramelized finish.
